The 2020 British Eventing 7-Year-Old Champion HH Moonwalk, ridden by Tom Jackson took the honour of winning the first International class at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre on Saturday
Tom not only won the CCI3*-S on HH Moonwalk but also took second place on board the recent winner at the South of England (1), Forrest Gump 124. Tom and HH Moonwalk led after the dressage on a score of 21.3 but added 0.4 time penalties in the show jumping, leaving him equal first with Ros Canter and Izilot DHI. While Ros picked up jumping penalties on cross country, Tom added just 1.2 and 0.8 time penalties respectively for the two top spots
The new CCI3* cross country course designed by Captain Mark Phillips offered some good challenges, including a newly designed and constructed second water complex. We’ll be back with Tom’s winning XC Video and a full wrap-up from the event next week, but for now, take a little walk around the new course and start planning for next year!
