Warwick Hall International (1) Horse Trials 2023 - order or view videos here
It is going to be an exciting few days of eventing at Warwick Hall International with Cumbria Events running their first ever International class as part of Warwick Hall (1) Horse Trials from 16th – 18th June
Alongside the usual BE80, BE90, BE100 and very popular Novice classes, the new CCI1* class has attracted 38 entries. They will be vying for a £1,500 prize pool with the inaugural CCI1* winner taking home £500 plus rug, trophy and sponsored prizes.
All CCI1* starters also receive a welcome pack, stable plate, rosettes and there is good prize money to 10th place.
Warwick Hall may not have been on the British Eventing calendar for very long but its beautiful 300 acres of open parkland and woodlands on the River Eden, close to the Scottish border has already made it a firm favourite with northern riders.
Organiser Douglas Weymouth’s sculpted animals are also a firm favourite on the cross country course and it appears that Harry the Hedgehog has had a special haircut for this week’s event (find out more about Harry in our interview with Douglas here)
Douglas also assures riders that, even though it has been warm “There is good grass cover across all competition areas and the BE aerovator will be used throughout, which represents the best ground conditioning for the sandy soil across the Estate”
