UnfortunatelyAustralian team member Andrew Hoy withdrew Vassily de Lassos from the second horse inspection on Sunday morning due to a minor cut incurred on yesterday's cross country but all other horses have been accepted.
“I am so very proud of Vassily’s super Cross Country round yesterday. He felt amazing and ran so easily inside the time. Unfortunately he picked up a minor cut, which has been attended to by our amazing Australian Team Vets, but he is not feeling 100% this morning" said Andrew
With Vassily’s best interest always at the forefront of everything we do, we have decided to withdraw him. I am very sad Vassily and I are not able to support the Australian Team on this final day of competition with his usual ‘jumping magic’, but I will be there on foot with my team mates and supporting them all the way. Let’s Go Team Australia and get our Paris Qualification over the finish line!”
