Eventing super-fans, prepare for an exhilarating weekend as Thoresby Park hosts the Eventing Spring Carnival from 28th-30th March 2025. This three-day spectacle promises top-tier equestrian action, featuring the top seven ranked eventing riders in the world, plus all three members of Team GB’s gold medal winning Olympic team.

The highlight of the weekend is the Lycetts Grantham Cup, a key event in the UK’s international eventing calendar. On Saturday, 29th March, riders will take on the thrilling CCI*4-S cross-country course, where speed, skill, and bravery come together in an unmissable spectacle. Can Emily King make history once again with a third consecutive win with Valmy Biats? We’ll have to wait and see.

Eventing World Top 7 to compete at Thoresby

The event boasts an impressive lineup of riders who currently dominate the top of the FEI Eventing World Athlete Rankings, to name a few:

Tom McEwen MBE (GBR): Holding the world number one position, Tom continues to showcase exceptional skill and dedication and now boasts two Olympic gold medals

Tim Price (NZL): Ranked second globally, Tim consistently delivers outstanding performances on the international stage and is a 2024’s Advanced winner.

Ros Canter (GBR): holds the third spot worldwide, and is reigning Burghley Champion, reflecting her remarkable talent and achievements. 

Yasmin Ingham (GBR): The reigning World Champion stands fourth globally, a testament to her rising prominence in the sport. 

Laura Collett MBE (GBR): Occupying the fifth position in the world rankings, Laura's consistent excellence, and Olympic gold and bronze in Paris, continues to inspire equestrian enthusiasts.

Laura Collett cross country course walk

Visitors can enhance their experience on Saturday, 29th March, by joining an exclusive CCI4* showjumping course walk led by Laura Collett MBE. This unique opportunity includes a guided tour of the showjumping course accompanied by a glass of fizz.

Beyond the equestrian action, families can enjoy the Vintage Tractor Show, gun dog displays, and a popular dog show offer something for the whole family.   Plus, new for 2025 is the UK’s first international Hobby Horse event, with clear round classes open to all.
