Australian, Irish and New Zealand riders are among the entries for the 2024 Conceal Grand-Prix Eventing Showcase at Bruce's Field, presented by Taylor, Harris Insurance Services.
With $100,000 on offer in the Eventing Showcase, to be held on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd March at Bruce’s Field, Aiken, South Carolina, USA, it will be a tightly fought contest with more than 40 combinations currently on the entry list.
These include US-Based Australian rider Ryan Wood who will be joined by New Zealand riders Monica Spencer riding Artist and Matthew Grayling riding Trudeau. These two recently flew to the USA as both riders will be contesting the Defender Kentucky Three Day Event in April and Monica will be making the USA her home for a while.
Another big name that will be flying in is the 2023 Maryland CCI5* winner, Austin O’Connor but he will be leaving his top horse, Colorado Blue at home and competing on board Carlson 119, a 14-year-old gelding on loan from his regular rider, Amanda Beale.
Three-time winner, Liz Halliday returns with last year’s wining horse Miks Master C and two others just for luck, along with her podium buddies from 2023, Doug Payne and 2022 winner, Boyd Martin.
The action starts on Friday, March 1st with dressage in the morning and showjumping from 3pm – 5pm. Cross country provides the big finale on Saturday, March 2nd with riders tackling the challenging 12:30pm - 3:00pm (all times EST).
