Kicking off with kissing in Kentucky

Yasmin Ingham and the Banzai Du Loir team are clearly happy to be at their first Kentucky!

The 2022 Land Rover Kentucky CCI5* presented by Mars Equestrian at the Kentucky Horse Park is officially a go.

45 horses came forward before the Ground Jury of Nick Burton (GB), Gretchen Butts (USA) and Christian Steiner (AUT) this afternoon and all were accepted under cloudless, blue skies and brilliant sunshine.

Two horses were sent to the holding box, each ridden by Kentucky first-timers - Booli Selmayr’s Millfield Lancando and Alexander Macleod’s Newmarket Jack but both horses were subsequently accepted upon re-inspection.

The dressage starts Thursday afternoon at 1pm (US Eastern) and continues Friday at 12:30pm.

Will Coleman and Dondante will be the first pair down the center line following Jeri Fuller-Matheny and Zarcita’s test ride.
