Teams for Nations Cup Eventing at Great Meadow

After some recent changes to the British team, Team USA has also substituted a rider for this weeekend's FEI Nations Cup CICO3* at the Great Meadow International presented by Adequan, July 7-9, in The Plains, Va.

Boyd Martin and the 14 year old Steady Eddie will substitute for Doug Payne and Vandiver as part of  the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team as Doug has had to withdraw due to due to an injury sustained while schooling a young horse. It was obviously a big disappointment for Doug, who tweeted

“This is definitely not my month. Just broke my collarbone over an 18" jump”

Boyd and Steady Eddie now join the following athlete-and-horse combinations on the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team previously announced:

Jennie Brannigan and Cambalda, a 2002 Thoroughbred Cross gelding

Buck Davidson and Copper Beach, a 2006 Irish Sport Horse gelding

Phillip Dutton and I’m Sew Ready, a 2004 Dutch Warmblood gelding

Reserve: Lynn Symansky and LLC’s Donner, a 2003 Thoroughbred gelding

 

The British team horses arived this week to settle in and are being joined by their riders;

Matthew Heath, 34 from Oxfordshire, riding his own and Mrs Hazel Livesey’s 10 year old gelding One of a Kind II

Nicky Roncoroni, 38 from Gloucestershire, and Lorna McWilliam and Mrs Janey Roncoroni’s 12 year old gelding Watts Burn

Emily Llewellyn and Mrs Camilla Harries’ Emirati Nightsky.

American based British rider, Justine Dutton with Jak My Style

 

The Canadian team competing are;

Selena O’Hanlon riding Foxwood High

Jessica Phoenix riding Pavarotti or A Little Romance

Waylon Roberts riding Kelecyn Cognac

Reserve: Holly Jacks-Smither riding More Inspiration
