Tim Price has sadly had to withdraw from the Mars Maryland CCI5* at Fair Hill (see Maryland Drawn Order here) which kicks off on with the first horse inspection on Wednesday 18th October, but he has now turned his focus to the CCI5* at Les Etoiles de Pau.
Tim was to defend his title with Falco and ‘really looking forward to giving it a nudge’ but unfortunately Falco has had to undergo surgery for a non-malignant tumour ‘in his tummy’ explains Tim in this video. Thankfully, all went well, and Falco will now spend some time recovering while Tim heads to Pau with Happy Boy and Viscount Viktor, along with several other Kiwis (see Pau Entry List here)
After a quick turnaround from Boekelo, Team Price headed to Oasby (2) Horse Trials on Saturday where Tim and Jonelle took four of the seven top spots in the Open Intermediate with their four Pau-bound horses. The class was won by Georgie Campbell on Global Candy Boy, who bettered their second place here last year, Australia’s Kevin McNab took second on Vidalgo and Jonelle took third on Hiarado.
Jonelle’s other Pau horse McClaren finished sixth with Tim taking fourth and fifth on Happy Boy and Viscount Viktor at their last pre-Pau hit out.
