Brazil secured an Olympic eventing team berth for Paris 2024 at last year’s Pan American Games in Chile, where they won team bronze and Márcio Jorge also won Individual silver. They will be coached at Paris 2024 by Britain’s William Fox-Pitt, who headed up Japan’s team in the lead-up to the Tokyo 2020 Games and took over as Brazilian Eventing Coach in 2022 from Sir Mark Todd.

William, a five-time Olympian, may have hung up his boots from competing at the highest level following Badminton Horse Trials this year but he will be using all his experience at Versailles as the Brazilian Eventing team coach with Julia Purgly as Chef d’Equipe.
