With Ireland, Germany and the USA having already announced their actual teams, the long lists (FEI nominated entries) published today by the FEI give a sneak preview of the possible composition of the rest of the teams
Being nominated to the FEI does not mean that a rider will be selected but, unless they are on this list, they certainly will not make the final cut so this gives a good insight
The 43 nations that have earned their Rio 2016 Olympic Games slots will now focus on making their final selection of teams and individual athletes from these nominated entries, and these will be submitted by the National Olympic Committees to the Rio 2016 Organising Committee by the deadline of 18 July.
