Andrew Cooper and Hey Arnold took the Motorama CCI 4*-S at Tamborine in Queensland on Sunday, adding nothing to their dressage and show jumping score of 32.9 from Saturday thanks to a double clear round on Ewan Kellett’s cross country course
Hey Arnold’s stable mate, Pepper Jack, couldn’t catch him and had to settle for second place (40.9) with just 1.2 time penalties. But Andrew didn’t sweep the podium with Gemma O’Leary riding Arnage Porsche also enjoying a double clear on cross country to take third place (50.1)
The Cushavon CCI3*-S was won by Justine Streater riding the imported mare Quintina with 1.6 time penalties on cross country to finish on a score of 42.7 ahead of Alex Townsend riding WHF Lyrical and Charlotte Lalak riding Legolas KPH, both having made the journey from NSW
Emma West riding Knight Thyme won the All Horses Veterinary Services CCI2*-S with one of only three clear cross country rides in the class. Sophie Nicholls riding Booroondabin Bella was one of those, taking second place while Zoe Dark riding Gold Symphony took third
We’ll be back with a full report, photo galleries and some of the winners’ cross country rounds soon
