Germany take the 2022 FEI Eventing Nations Cup series win
Updated rules for the 2023 FEI Eventing Nations Cup Series were approved at the recent FEI General Assembly in Cape Town
After two years of a disrupted Nations Cup calendar in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, with just three legs of the Series running in 2020 and five legs in 2021, the 2022 Nations Cup Series saw eight of the allocated legs taking place at Boekelo (NED), Bromont (CAN), Arville (BEL), Le Pin au Haras (FRA), Avenches (SUI), Strzegom (POL), Houghton Hall (GBR) and Pratoni del Vivaro (ITA)
With eight legs held, the seven best results were taken into account for the final classification with Germany taking the 2022 FEI Eventing Nations Cup Series win
The rules for the 2023 FEI Eventing Nations Cup Series concerning points allocation, participation and classification remain similar to previous years with two additional requirements
Starting order: For the FEI Eventing Nations Cup, the Team competition must be run as a block, either before or after the Individual competitors (this system was used at the 2022 Series Final at Boekelo when all Nations Cup riders competed first)
Dedicated Webpage: The Organising Committee must provide an official webpage dedicated to the FEI Eventing Nations Cup competition with live scoring during the duration of the event
The highest placed team according to the final team classification of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup Series 2023 (excluding teams/NOCs already qualified) will be allocated a place for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The 2023 FEI Eventing Nations Cup calendar will be finalised in December
