France’s Maxime Livio and Boleybawn Prince were once again victorious in Indoor Cross Country, winning the CIX-Arena competition at the CHI de Geneve
Following their double win at Sweden International Horse Show, Maxime and the 18-year-old Boleybawn Prince, who competed at the Tokyo Olympic Games with Thai rider Arinadtha Chavatanont, have now won the CIX-Arena competition at the CHI de Geneve
Run over two arenas and a length of 1130m, the FEI CIX course, designed by Peter Hasenböhler and Ernst Bee, consisted of 26 obstacles and 35 efforts, including a bank and the lake at the massive Palexpo Centre in Geneva
Maxime Livio finished just outside the optimum time of 150 seconds but it was good enough to beat his compatriots Karim Laghouag riding Punch de l’Esques, with the popular 19-year-old horse that has been so successful in the Indoor competitions, making his last competition appearance here tonight, and Sébastien Cavaillon riding Black Pearl Z, taking second and third places
The 2021 winner, Switzerland’s Robin Godel riding Big Diamond had to settle for fourth place, Ireland’s Cathal Daniels riding CDS Cairnview Romolu, who took second place at the Stuttgart Masters Indoor Eventing, finished in fifth
The Stuttgart Masters winners, Michael Jung riding Kilcandra Ocean Power finished in sixth place
