Zara Tindall is back in the saddle at international level competition, four months after giving birth to baby son Lucas
Zara had four horses entered at Barbury, with Class Affair finishing 11th in the CCI4*-S at her first international start since Osberton International in October 2020.
She has had one start at Farley Hall in the lead up to this with Classicals Euro Star and Showtime who did well at Barbury in two of the Novice sections.
Showtime took second place in the Novice Section O on their dressage score of 33 and Classicals Euro Star finished sixth in the Novice Section N. Zara also rode HM The Queen’s ex-racehorse Twinkle in the Novice Section O for 16th place.
It is perfect timing for Zara to take back the reins as the go-to 'maternity rider’ Tom McEwen, who was riding and competing Class Affair while Zara was having her third baby, now heads into quarantine ahead of Tokyo 2020 in pursuit of Olympic medals for Britain. Zara herself won Olympic silver as part of the British team at London 2012
